No. Many students drive down from Colorado Springs for the smaller classes and flexible scheduling.

What should I bring?

Your handgun (case/holster—no loose firearms), eye/ear protection, and factory ammo. Bring spare magazines if you have them. Range fee is due at class time.

Is the CHP class 8 hours?

Yes, plan for a full-day class. Colorado’s standard is 8 hours as of July 1, 2025; confirm any county-specific requirements with your issuing authority.
