HAVE GUN WILL TRAIN COLORADO

Colorado Gun Owner Briefing

November 2026 • Pueblo, Colorado

Please Don’t Walk In With a “Naked Gun”

Recently, I’ve had students arrive with live ammunition in
their handgun, magazines, or gun bag. Others have walked
through the door carrying a handgun in their hand—what
I call a “naked gun.”

These situations create an unnecessary safety problem
before instruction even begins. Safe handling starts
before you walk through the door.

Coming to class? Remember:

  • No live ammunition in the classroom.
Check your gun, magazines, bag, and case before leaving home.
  • Bring your handgun unloaded and secured
in a suitable case or holster.
  • Leave it secured until the instructor gives directions.
  • If you’re unsure what to do, contact me before arriving.

You don’t need to know everything before taking a class.
Questions are welcome. Ask first, before handling the gun.

Does Your Handgun Have a Proper Holster?

A suitable holster should cover the trigger guard, hold
the handgun securely, and fit your specific firearm.

I’m a CYA Supply Co. affiliate. If you’re shopping for a
holster, browse their selection below. Check compatibility
with your handgun and any accessories before ordering.

Holiday Guests? Plan Your Firearm Storage.

Before family and friends arrive for Thanksgiving,
review where your firearms are stored. An unattended
purse, coat, bedside drawer, or bag can put a firearm
within someone else’s reach.

Arrange secure storage before the house gets busy.
Include visiting family members in that conversation
if they bring firearms into your home.
